Guy Senior Photos

I never realized it before, but I have only photographed girls for their Senior pics…until now! I did my first ever Guy Senior Photos this past weekend, and it was so much fun. And what’s even better, I had the privilege of photographing The Bee’s close friend. Someone we have known for 4 years now.

He’s such a serious person…. mostly.

The thing I appreciate the most about doing these is just how very unique each of these young people are. I love discovering their true selves through my lens, and seeing their personalities shining through. It seems to be difficult for most people to be in front of the camera, so I never give direction. I don’t want the photos to look over-posed and unnatural. Instead, I let them lead, and I find that by the end of the session, they have opened up and are having some fun. That’s really what it is all about, isn’t it?

  1. I think letting them lead is the best option.
I am doing that with my kids when I photograph them. The youngest has always been so hard to shoot cuz he won’t stay still for more then 3 seconds, and the oldest is getting photography shy lately.
you’re doing a great work with these young people.
