Baby gift idea

All of a sudden, we know three different people that are either expecting or just gave birth. What is in the water, people?! I have to say, I absolutely adore making baby things, though. I haven’t done it in a while, so I really had to look through my patterns and came up with a great baby gift idea that is quick and fun to make:

Baby Gift idea: Sew Baby Booties with a FREE pattern

Squeeeeeeee!

I have had this pattern for quite some time now, and made a few pairs of these adorable teeny shoes. It is from Stardust Shoes and it is FREE!

***EDITED TO ADD- the link to the shoe pattern is not working, and I cannot get in touch with the author of the blog. Sorry about that!!******

I don’t know if you can tell, but these are tiny newborn shoes and are stinkin’ cute.

The insides aren’t finished, just used pinking shears to clip the edges, but you really don’t see them.

I have had that fabric in my stash forever, and have no idea where it originally came from, but I adore it! I actually used it  on the first pair I made in 2010. This pair are lined with super soft gray flannel.

  1. These are so cute, I might have to copy your idea! I usually make something for closer to 18 months because i remember that’s when the shower love usually started to fall off and I had to start buying clothing. Sometimes a skater dress or a little tee and pants.

      1. Thanks for the link to this page, it’s the link on the Stardust Shoe page that is broken, this is the message:

we are sorry, but the page you are looking for cannot be found.

        1. Oh really?! I click on it and it works. Huh. I know she hasn’t written on her blog since 2013. Maybe it doesn’t work anymore?
I am going to try again.

        2. Victoria- the link to her site works, right? If you are having trouble with her PDF link, I would suggest contacting the woman who owns the blog.
I am not really sure why it wouldn’t work.

  2. cute bootee’s! My go to baby gift is an elasticated bottom baby gown. In the past I’ve bought them, but recently I found some free patterns and made them!

  3. thanks, Dad-to-be AKA my brother in law wasn’t overly enthusiastic about them so glad to hear someone appreciates them! (I didn’t speak to his wife, fingers crossed she likes them)
