Track Camp

This week we decided to try something new for Falafel. She attended Track Camp!

This child has boundless energy and 6 hours of running/ jumping/ moving per day was just the thing for her.

I thought for sure she would come home an absolute wreck, but it was the opposite. She seemed content, and even exclaimed on the first day “I’m not even tired!“.

There were 125 kids in total, all broken up into different age groups. It was quite the event.

When I went to the last day’s track meet, the benefits I saw were not just from the physical exertion. I saw all the connections between peers being made, hand games being played as they waited to be called on, and lots of being a kid…with other kids.

It was a good way to spend a week.

Looks like she’s having a fun time. my kids are doing swim lessons and after a somewhat rocky first day… they’re having a blast! And being so brave. I love watching them.
