Sister-in-law Zip Pouch

Our relatives came to visit this week, and I made them each gifts. It is my way of saying “welcome!“.

For my dear sister-in-law, I whipped up one of these snazzy zip pouches.

I figured that when we travel, I always could use a zip pouch for something, so I thought she would appreciate it. And she did.

I used this super fun fabric from my darling friend, Kirsten (who is my fabric pusher gifter). The outer fabric is a grey linen blend that I had in my stash.

I really love how they go together.

This type of zip pouch is so quick to sew, and really incredibly satisfying. Those kinds of projects are my favorite.

  1. Michelle, long time no see! Work has finally slowed and I’m sitting here with a glass of wine all ready to catch up on your beautiful family, creations and gastronomic delights! I’ve missed you :)

I love this pouch – you really do zippered pouches well! Love the linen, it’s just beautiful – I bet she was thrilled to receive it x

what a great pouch! is it from a pattern?

    • It isn’t from a pattern. There are so many zip pouch tutorials out there, and I remember learning the technique, but honestly cannot remember whose I used! I can do a tutorial if you would like, though! Please let me know:)
