I am on sewing-fire lately!
I made another Janey Jump Around dress by Peek-a-Boo Pattern shop. I like to make at least two, if I can, of any new pattern because the first one I try is almost like a wearable muslin that I test fabric, size, and fit.
I did a few things differently this time. I still lengthened the sleeves, but I also added contrasting cuffs.
Very easy and I think they add a nice connection to the contrasting fabric on the neckline.
Speaking of the neckline…on the last dress, I double folded the band, so that it was thinner. For this dress, I followed the pattern closer and left it larger, and I love it!
I did mismatched, fun buttons, and Falafel couldn’t be happier.
The fabric is thicker than the last, and I like it so much better. I have already washed it, and it held up beautifully.
And it looks stinkin’ cute on her too (uh, even with her sneakers).
And now she’s a kitty cat.
I know there will be a point when my sewing will shift for her into “older kid” clothing. She may not even want to wear Mama made things anymore *gasp*
For now, I am relishing our time in this stage/age and all the wonderful patterns there are. I do love it so.
