I tested a pattern and it was good

I tested a pattern recently for Melly Sews. It was the W Pants by Blank Slate patterns.

wcapri3m Yet another great pants pattern by Melissa! This one comes with three options: shorts, capris, and pants. I was assigned the capris. They turned out a little long, but the pattern has been fixed now and the length should be just right. Plus, I could go back and just hem the length, but I was told most emphatically by Falafel to keep the length as is. So OK.

wcapri12m This is the best part! I love the option to add a zip to the welt pocket. I had no idea you could do that! She explains it very clearly and slowly so there is no question of how to do this.

wcapri11m It is exciting having options when making clothing for my girls. And having an easy well-written pattern (which this is) to do it with is even better! *I let Falafel choose the fabric, and she chose this combination. Very 1980’s to me, but it makes her happy.

wcaprism I was not paid to write this review (although I did receive a free copy because I tested). I just wanted to share what I have discovered. Also, it is very natural to boast about any Blank Slate Pattern because of the ease and clarity. I would do it again, anytime.

*love*

What have YOU made today?
