While I am doing all of this sewing, I figured I would cross another thing off my “always wanted to try that” list.
It turns out this shirt is as easy {and as cute} as I thought it would be!
I made this shape on some striped stretch jersey.
And I cut a strip of fabric for the bottom slightly smaller than the width of the shirt so it would blouse out a little. I sewed the strip into a tube by sewing the short sides, and then fold it lengthwise so that the raw edges are facing up.
I rolled the neck to finish it. I didn’t need to finish the edges of the sleeves, because this jersey will not fray!
I may try it again for her, only slightly longer. This style is so flattering and the shirt was so very quick to make, it will be a snap to make a few more.
What have you made today?
