Venturing to new realms with my seam ripper
The realm I am currently exploring is the one where frustrating monstrous-sized adult patterns reside. I have never tried to sew something for myself with a pattern, not to mention one with such complex and large pieces.
I am sure a seasoned sewist would look at this and chuckle like it was a day in the park, but the first time your try just about anything, it can be daunting and scary.
I saw this pattern on sale for .99 cents, and thought to myself “Yes! Easy costume for myself this year“. Ha.
Anyhow, this is where I can be found this week, with trusty seam ripper in hand (which I have had to use 3 times so far on the full length of the costume).
If I didn’t invest so much in the fabric (yikes- um 11 yards), I would be tempted to give up and look for a Rosie the Riveter costume instead.
*sigh*
