Kcwc: Sewing a bit at a time
This week over at Elsie Marley is her annual Kids Clothes Week Challenge!
The idea behind it is to get people sewing (or preparing to sew) for an hour each day. Then you get to share your creations on her flickr page.
I love this idea, and every year I have grand intentions, but not grand motivation.
This year I thought “what the heck!“. Why not? How’s that for motivation?
For my first project, I made a pair of flannel pajamas for Falafel. I had this fun batiked flannel for years and knew it would make some cozy lounge wear for my little one.
These whipped up super quick because I used my tried and true method of using a pair of her existing pants to trace around. Then sew together. Add elastic.
Done.
I am linking my first project over there. Will you join in the fun??
