It’s Purse Week over at A Lemon Squeezy Home !

I needed a new purse, so I decided to join in the fun this year.

I used a pattern that I bought from Noodlehead, but I made a few adjustments to it.

The first thing I did was widen the top of the bag to fit my 14 inch zipper instead of a 12 inch zipper (One good reason to make a list before going to the fabric store). Since it is metal I decided it unwise to sew right through it. So the easiest thing was to extend the bag out a few inches.

*Please excuse the color change from the back to the front yard light. Long story, but it involves 40 photos that were lost due to a corrupt memory card and losing all my step-by-step photos. *sigh*

The second thing I did was make my strap one piece. I am the only one who will be wearing it, and an adjusting strap would just be too many options for me to handle.

I also kept the front pocket flap without any fasteners so I can reach and grab on the go!

I am all about comfort and ease.

Check out the Flickr pool with all the entries!

What have you made today?
