With the change of seasons, comes a lack of seasonally appropriate clothing. So when my Dad mailed us a bunch of his old t-shirts (cause “you’re crafty and can do something with these, right?”), I knew at least one of them would turn into a nightshirt for Falafel.

Since the t-shirts are Adult XXL, and she is a child XS, I had some altering to do.

Remember this re-sizing tutorial I did last year? Same principle, only longer, and I added sleeves with some extra thermal knit material I had.

This, literally, takes minutes to do once you get the hang of it. I just use an existing t-shirt that fits her as a guide. Snip snip. Sew sew. Aaaaaand… done.

It’s the photographing the silly child wearing it that takes the most time. But it is also the most fun.

One nightgown down. A few more to go.

Are you prepared for the weather to change?
